LGBT Diversity
Thank you to Kieran, Diane and Chloe who led the excellent House assemblies this week. The LGBT Diversity meetings will be held on Tuesday lunchtimes in the Drama Classroom. Staff and pupils have already been asking if they can order the red "Some people are gay. Get over it"
t-shirts. See Mrs Whyte if you'd like to order one.

Pupil Bike Shed
You are reminded that the bike shed is provided for the security and safety of your property.  All bikes brought to school should be placed inside the bike shed and locked to a stand.

Bikes should not be left unlocked, nor should they be left anywhere else in the school grounds.  The school will accept no responsibility whatsoever for bikes not stored securely in the shed.

Mini Mudder Adventure Race
This race will take place on Friday 6th February at Liberton High School. The S1-6 event starts at 2.15pm with registration from 1.30pm. Entry fee is £5 per pupil and sign up is made online. For further information please see Mr Kidd in the PE department.

HPV Vaccination Forms
Please can any S1 and S2 girls who have not returned their HPV vaccination forms yet, hand them into the school office as soon as possible.  Any pupils who do not hand in their form will not be given the vaccine on the day.

Summer Ball
The final payment for the Summer Ball is now due. The full £45 should be paid to Miss Taylor (ICT) by the February break. Contracts should also be returned, spare contracts can be collected from Miss Taylor. If anyone still wants to attend the Ball and has not yet paid it’s not too late. Anyone having problems paying should speak to Miss Taylor.

Hibs Tickets
The PE department has a limited supply of tickets for Saturdays Hibs game V Cowdenbeath at Easter Road, kick off 3pm.  If you are interested please see Mr Gregor today.  Tickets will be given on first come first served basis.

British Basketball Trophy Final
The PE department are looking to run a trip to the BBL Trophy Final at the Emirates Arena Glasgow on Sunday 22nd March.  If interested please let Mr Kidd know by the end of next week (Friday, 23rd January).

Aerosol sprays
A reminder to all that for health and safety reasons Aerosol spray cans such as deodorant, body spray etc should not be brought in to school.  In the past they have been misused and proved to be extremely dangerous. There are plenty of other products that can be used more safely and are just as effective so please purchase these and use them in school instead.  Staff will confiscate Aerosol sprays if a pupil is found using them in school.  Please be aware and keep yourself safe.

Any S2 pupils who have still to collect their car from Ms Mckenzie’s art room please do so before Tuesday, 13th January, or they will be recycled. There is no room to store them.   If any pupils wish to keep them but cannot collect them by then for whatever reason, please let Ms Mckenzie know.

Theatre trip
Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time Thursday May 7th 2015 -  2.30pm
We are organising a trip to see the stage version of ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time’, by Mark Haddon.  Some of you may have read the book in English, but others may be aware of it, just because it is a great read.

There are only 20 spaces available, so if you are interested in attending, please see Mrs Whyte or Mrs Brown for a letter, explaining all the details.
